ARE YOU FEELING UNSETTLED?

There are many things that can cause unsettling of mind and purpose.

King David , as he waited for his leadership over Israel, King Saul caused his unsettling purpose given by God. David lived in caves, he was on the run, seems like forever, because King Saul would not accept him as king although it was God Himself ordained this. David’s life was unsettled and maybe he wondered, “When will all this hunting me down stop?”. Have you ever felt like this future King?

Or may be you felt like Naomi and her family. She and her family (not by her choice) her husband said , Lets go somewhere else till this famine passed. Oh my, this feeling of unsettled living to leave a place so familiar now seems like we will not see my family members and friends again? Naomi’s life became more unsettling, she lost her husband, and two sons. Now she was alone although she has two daughters-in-law to worry about. What can I do she many have asked herself. Naomi called the girls together and had a family talk. She was relocating back to Jerusalem, she wanted something more familiar and to rebond with people she knew. One of the girl’s went back to family and friends, but the other, Ruth told her, “No way I am not leaving you sister, I am taking my chances with you. Your God shall be my God, your company I need so forget it- I am here to stay and to help look after you”!. What a gal, what a good heart! (Ruth 1: 6-22)

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Many times we are having situation that has caused many to feel unsettled. Prices of gas, food prices skyrocketed, wars and unrest, health prices is causing much concern, Lord How long, we are waiting for your answer. Many are losing hope in government, and society. Our answer is not or should not be in them

We do not have to feel unsettled, like Naomi and David and many others before us, who found their answer, in Jesus Christ the Lord. No one else can help us like God Jehovah can. Just call out to Him for your personal answer, for each person’s answer will be different. (Psalm 18: 1) says, “I will love you my Lord my strength, the Lord is my rock and fortress, and my deliverer; my God my strength, whom I will trust”.

Trust in the Lord and lean to your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him for He will direct your path so that you do not have to feel unsettled. He is very near to all who will call for His help and He never lead us astray. He will calm your fears and heart today.

IS ALL THE WORLD A STAGE?

It seems like everybody is mad at something or with someone. What is your beef today, who is it with? yesterday was Father’s Day, but many kids are mad with their dad for some reason and some have become disrespectful. God says, we should honor our Fathers and mothers. This comes with a blessing from the Lord Himself.

Is your dad absentee, never show you love or stay in your life to encourage or see you through your dreams and aspirations? Give him a break. Maybe his dad treated him the same way he is treating you now. A father has to be taught early the responsibility and care in life. Nothing is just given.

Rethink and relearn about your dad. All of them have to be taught, not to lie, steal, being honest in life, in their work and with people including you. Many dad are in prison or in the grave, if yours is alive, mend things between you two, if he is dead, then you can do nothing about it- just make sure you will live differently and seek God the best Father in life, He knows that you are special, He loves you with no strings attached.

Change your thoughts, and mind today. Let your words be sweet, kind, honest, carefully thought out before you speak. Words do hurt and can leave a nasty wound forever or for a very long time. Sweeten your world as the Lord ‘s sweet words to you. Kind words helps others rethink their bad thoughts of self and the world. God gave His only son to die for this world.

I read today about a man who lost his son by his death that he could not stop, so the dad decided after many months of mourning to take a chair and a thermos flask of tea and he went a sat by the bridge and each day he offers a kind word, a cup of his tea and listened to the young person who were on their way to jump off the bridge. This dad helped to stop death by his positive and kind words and a listening ear. At his death in his old age hundreds of people cried and sent cards telling how is kind words deterred them from killing themselves. Wow! Be kind today for you do not know how good it will be helping someone to do the right thing. So my advise to you is to sweeten the lives of folk you meet. You will put a smile on God’s face and a thank you for being His ears too.

YOU ARE INVITED

Many times you can receive an invitation to either a wedding, a graduation, a funeral, or a party. You will have to check your schedule if the date is open for you to attend. One such invitation was given to Jesus in Cana in Galilee, but when he went with many folk there celebrating with the Bride and Groom something happened which needed Jesus’ attention. The wine ran out and the Groom was frantic to get more wine for the guests. Jesus’ mother Mary asked Him to do something to help relieve the problem.

Jesus was not willing at first but then He did something remarkable. He told the servers to have the water pots filled with water right up to the brim and then take from it and serve the people. What? it was only water in the pots. No one had ever seen such a miracle that was about to take place. ( John 2: 7) What do you think would happen?

The awesome miracle was these water pots the water was turned into wine eight before their eyes. Not magic, but a true and real miracle. Wow! When Jesus enters your life or residence, miracle happens. He makes promises but He keeps them. When the Groom tasted the wine, he was happy for he said, this wine was better than the first wine we drank. (Vs 9-10)

Today, Jesus desires to work a miracle in your heart and home. Will you let Him? John 14:6 says Jesus is the way, truth and life, no man cometh to the Father but through Him.

He can turn your emptiness into something beautiful and purposeful as you live now and in eternity with Him. Let Jesus come into your heart, all your doubts and fears will fly away, for He is the only one that can fix you. No so called gods of the world that you are worshipping can hear, feel, talk, or speak so stop being fooled by Satan. “Seek you first the kingdom of God and all things will be added unto you. You are invited to the cross for a remake – He will change you into someone wonderful if you will let Him. Eternity is a long time in hell or heaven, so come along with me on this exciting journey with Jesus the Savior of the world . One day all will have to face Him, Confucius, Allah, Buddha or any hand made god will have to meet Him and give account of his or her life, what will you say to Him on that day? (Revelation 19) Make sure you will be ready to meet Him.

WHAT IS A HOME WITHOUT A MOTHER?… PROVERBS 31.

I ask this question because I think that a home without a mother even a Praying mother, is like a kitchen without a knife. What do you think?

A Mother is needed in all homes, because she will bring calm, peace, joy, respect, spirituality and godliness and much more. God honors mothers and those who long to be mothers like Rebekah, Sarah, Hannah and others. Today in our world, there are many women who are turning to medicine, sperm banks, surrogacy and adoption to help them conceive because of the longing of their heart to bring a child into the world. God bless them. Psalm 127: 3 states that “Children are an heritage of the Lord and as a fruit of her womb it will be her reward? God loves children.

Hannah, was one woman who desired a child but her nemesis Peninnah was the one having the kids. How would you feel if you were in her place? Hannah was so anxious and depressed over this fact, she would not eat and even her husband could not feel her pain as she did. There were names given to women who could or did not have children. The barren woman, the childless woman or the the woman whose womb was dried up. Nasty assumption indeed.

Hannah went into praying mode, pouring out her problem to the God who could change her situation. Hannah did not just want a son for her joy and to alleviate the stigma. She saw the lack of godliness in Israel and told the Lord, “If you grant me a man child, I will give him back to you to serve you in this place. God honored her request and after the child was born and weaned, true to her words and vows, she took the boy to the time of fellowship and handed him over to the Priest Eli and went back home, not sad but glad for she knew that God could be trusted. The young boy grew spiritually and physically, and was one of the true leaders serving God in Israel. People feared him, for when he shows up it was to bring God’s message to the people or to anoint someone to step out in service to God. (1 Samuel 1-3).

Mothers, you are precious as Hannah’s name means- are you a Praying Mom as she, do you know where to find your voice, strength and victories? Let Jesus carry your cares for its the only time you will win. Your problems are like a mountain that only God can level down and allow you to see beyond them clearer and more victorious.

Romans 15: 13 can help you to be a mother of hope now and in the future. Your child’s future belongs to God, so pray more and trust in this God who alone can move or shake mountains, obstacles out of your way. When He does, shout it loud and clear of the miracle He removes in your life. Get acquainted with mothers in the Bible and learn how they overcame their difficulties. It was not with education, money or their societal lifestyle, but it was by praying , believing, and mighty faith in the Lord.

Thanks God for motherhood and if you are one of them, give thanks and pray much for your child or children. God has a plan for each child even before they were born and nothing you can do to change His plan. Psalm 139 reminds us, of this.

The story is told of a young boy who used to cut up things with a scissors any chance he got. His fathers sermon, one Sunday were in pieces because Robby had cut it up in small pieces. His parent had a talk together, Father said , he is going to be a Barber because he used the scissors a lot. The mother said, a doctor. In the end young Robby became a doctor, God had used the inner thought of this boy to become what God intended Not the parents. Trust God with your child’s education and as you pray God will lead and the future will be bright for all of you.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY and may the joys of motherhood be celebrated with joy and thanksgiving to the Lord who smiled on you to make you a mother. Be proud, be strong, be humble, be kind, and most of all be a praying mother.

WHAT TREASURES ARE YOU HUNTING FOR?

What is a treasure? It is something or someone of value and precious.

In Matthew 13 we find two men seeking treasures one of land the other pearl. It is very sad that they both sold what they had on hand and went after something they thought would make them rich, the knab-knob of their community and the prestige that would go with it after they found the treasure they sought.

WHAT ARE YOU SEEKING?

Some folk will sell their soul to find sunken treasures like those from sunken ships , or a house, or jewelry. Tell me, is it worth all the troubles? Satan is always selling, watch out what he’s selling you.

These two men sought hard after earthly treasures but not about the treasures of heaven. “What shall it profit anyone if he gain earthly treasure and lose his soul , or what will you give in exchange for yours. Matthew 6:19-21 reminds us to be careful how we search for our treasures. Earthly treasures will fail . Proverbs 3: 5-6 says trust in the Lord and never in earthly things, for one day you will leave it all here on earth when friends and family fight over everything. You will not be able to take one of your treasure with you, friend, so be wise. Heaven ‘s treasures no rust, no thieves are there either.

How will you spend your time here on earth – what will be your find? The greatest find you can have now and for all eternity, is Jesus God’s precious son who came to earth, to walk and then died on a wicked cross for you and all in the world. He loves you and you are woth a great treasure to Him. Don’t blow it looking for anything or anyone just seek Jesus and serve Him until your time is up on earth and you will live with Him forever. That’s a precious treasure worth finding.

SOLOMON’S CHOICES: February 11th, 2026

Some of us like King Solomon have made many plans to do right, but life got in the way and we lose our focus. In 1 Kings 1:28 we read that King David passed on the Leading role of leadership to his son and gave him strict instructions and the promise that if young Solomon follow the Lord and rule with integrity God would bless him greatly. Did he listen and wholly followed?

This is a fascinating record of a new king and the order of the day according to God’s rule and the right path to follow in order to be a successful leader. When we enter a new job situation, the company small or large have their own sets of protocol to follow we can either do what we think, or follow their rule in order to keep the company great and thriving or be let go because we will not truly follow their principles. King Solomon had a choice too. We must give him credit for doing what was right and his fame went out through the world. God Himself warned him of choices he must make in order to remain a success. His father King Davis warned him in chapter two verse 2-3 “Keep the charge of the Lord, walk in His ways, keep His commandments true, His judgments, and statures true then He Jehovah will make you strong, and prosperous”. Wow! Quite a challenge wouldn’t you say?

God’s words of promise to the King, and choices he must make no matter how rich and famous he would become. Chapter 3: 14, again for the young king to do all that the Lord intended, Solomon would be blessed and prospered more than any king before or after him. What a challenge laid out before this king. So he did prosper and became famous, but one thing King Solomon did not count on, WOMEN. Chapter 11, God told him to be careful for these women whom he loved, for they will rob him of his commitment to God. He did not take this news to heart. In fact, He had more wives and concubines more than any other man to date. Verse 6 is sad indeed. King Solomon’s heart was stolen by the many women in his life. from places God despised foreign women who did not loved or served Jehovah. They served idols and paid homage to them. God was not pleased with this rebellion of the king. In his end of life it is said King Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord and he did not repent.

Let me ask you , What is it or who it is you are putting before the God of heaven who loves you and sent His only precious son Jesus to die for you so that you would not be lost?, Is anything worth all that trouble, is Jesus worth following, and if so, how will you live to please Him? Half hearted service is no service at all. Solomon loved the Lord, yet he stopped serving Him as when he began to lead Israel. What is hindering you from wholly following the Lord, You may have began well with great determination, but you allow men, women, money, fame, pride and many other things to crowed your judgment and now you are guilty of rebellion, stubbornness, and a backsliding heart to steal your love for the Lord. You can repent and He will forgive and restore you again. King Solomon was not as wise as he should have been, he was a foolish king. Don’t make the same mistakes as he did. God loves us and will bless us but we cannot serve the devil and Himself at the same time so chose wisely and stay blessed and prosper in whatever you do for the Lord. Happy Valentine’s Day. Let Jesus be your true Valentine.

PSALM TWENTY THREE 1-6

This Psalm began with , “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want” I ask you first, “Is He your shepherd? If He is , then you will NOT want of anything, for a good shepherd looks out for His sheep. If He is NOT your shepherd, then you are lacking many good things.

In these days of stress and disappointments, we need a good shepherd to guide us , lead us, supply what we are needing and to show us care and love. Do you know Him like that, if not your are missing out. This Shepherd loves His sheep (we are if you follow Him) This Shepherd tells us and shows us the right way, and will protect us from all the wolves, and people who are trying to do us in.

WHAT ELSE DOES A GOOD SHEPHERD DO?

He takes the sheep to green pastures where the fresh and good grass is. He makes sure the sheep have water to drink, and shelter from the sun and heat and storms. This Shepherd is not an hired Hand, but a caring, self-sacrificing Shepherd. He is there all the time taking care of things that will help support and sustain the sheep. Do you know such a shepherd, do you have Him in your life to support and sustain you through all the storms you are facing or will face? Reach out to Him, and seek His divine help for you are not strong, wise or know the way without His help. Jeremiah 16:19 says, “In times of distress, He will be your refuge strength, fortress and guide”.

Because of these things about this Good Shepherd, should’nt you ask Him to wash you from your sins, and save you for all eternity? He wants to be your Shepherd today, so He can walk with you each day now right into the next life. ( John 3: 16-18) Today is the day of salvation, NOT your money, education, job, families nothing can compare with this new life with the Good Shepherd. He knows every pit you can fall in, He knows every obstacle that is set up to fail you, then one would be foolish NOT to ask Him for the help you need to navigate this life.

Verse 6 says, after you begin your walk with Him, he will keep you safe and will one day take you home to be with Him forever. How cool is that? Its a promise no other shepherd can do . Come to the Good Shepherd and give Him all your aspiration and future for you will be safe with Him all year, everyday, and every day of your life.

WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS MEANS TO YOU? 12/2025

Christmas should NOT be the gifts, dances, parties, or any other reason to celebrate the Season of Christmas. The reason should be like the angels sang, “Glory to God in the Highest , peace and goodwill to all men”. (Luke 2:14)

Make Christmas a peaceful and glorious time, because He came to the earth for YOU and ME. To save us from our many sins. )John 3: 16-18). Many have very little because of various disasters during the year, but that should never stop us from rejoicing.

Some of the reason to rejoice are, Eating and digesting our food, going to the bathroom freely for elimination. good water to drink, good friends and family, we can see, and we can hear without aids. You have a bed to sleep on, pots to cook and the best gift of all is the love Jesus has for you. He sees you, He hears your prayers, He understand your needs. Today I had almost no money but in the mail today a check came with $200 in it so on Monday I will be able to pay my electric bill. Hallelujah! I told Him in my prayer last night that the bill is here and by the end of December I will have to pay it. Praise the Lord He has heard and has delivered me.

Tell me, what are some things you are rejoicing about? Even as you pray, give thanks that God’s answer is on the way so by faith believe Him for your request to be answered.

May your Christmas be bright and you are rejoicing for what you have without being ungrateful and grumble. May you also in 2026 If the Lord spare your life, put Him in charge of your future for He knows you and in His time He will give you an answer.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY FULFILLING NEW YEAR.

THE GOD WHO SEE’S AND HEAR’S YOU

GENESIS 16: 5-12; 13-16

Have you ever wonder if God sees you or hears your prayers or cries for His help? He does for he never slumbers or sleep. He never ever takes a forty winks no siree, He is always on the job of caring for you and listening to your cries.

A Woman Name Hagar: Who was she?

Hagar was the Maid of Sari Abram’s wife, who she told to go and sleep with her husband Abram because she wanted a son. God gave this couple a promise of a child who will be from their own body. Sari got impatient and decided to stroke her husband to make out with Hagar and she would be a surrogate mom to this child. Hagar was only a handmaid so she had to obey her mistress. Very sad indeed. Hagar got in a pickle with Sari because she was not carrying Abram’s child, but this was NOT the promised child God told them they would have.

So many times we lean to our own understanding, and thwart the plans of God and get ourselves in deep trouble. (Proverbs 3:5-6) Man’s plans will always fail if it is not work through the sift of the Almighty. Remember he sees and knows everything, then why should we not consult him with our plans and desires?

WHAT WAS HER PAIN AND SORROWS? vs 5-6

Bad feelings between the two women began and things were not working out too well, so Hagar ran away to the wilderness of Shur. Where would it lead, she did not know really where the journey in the wilderness would lead, a woman alone no one to care for her there, but God who sees and knows came to her rescue.

HER PRAISES AND PROMISES: 7-16

An angel of God came to her in her sorrows and he

  1. Called her by name
  2. He knew who she was …the maid of Sari
  3. He told her she was with child and was carrying a male child and even named the unborn child Ishmael.
  4. She was encouraged to return to her mistress and she would be blessed she and her child they would have a bright future because of Abram lineage.

Hagar’s joy was running over and she went back to her mistress and served for she had the promise of El Roi on her side, how could she lose?

MAKE IT PERSONAL:

When God make you/me a promise does take it back?<NO. He is a true Promise Keeper Numbers 23: 19 states, God is not a man that he should lie, He keeps His promises, and we can always count on it. We get sad and feel sorry for ourselves when the thing does not work out right NOW!- God’s time is not like ours, Time does not phase our Lord. While we wait for His deliverance, we can pray, read the Scriptures, give thanks by faith, because we believe him. In time the blessings will fall and hearts will rejoice for His faithfulness. Have you been waiting long, cried much, wondered if he is listening? Child of God keep on believing, keep trusting for when you think not, He will deliver what he has promise. I know , for I have waited before and He came through for me. Walk with him, and give Him praise for He is very worthy. HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING.

WHO’S STEALING FROM YOU?

A couple weeks ago, I saw that my cantaloup patch was set upon by a predator, a ground hog. So I set my trap and of course in three days he or she was caught, and I was able to enjoy the rest of these wonderful juicy fruit.

Many times in our lives, something is always sneaking upon us to steal and destroy, Our peace, our money, our home, our friendships, and most of all our joy. The Word says, Satan comes to do just that for he is the father of lies, evil and stealer of joy. (John 10:10.

We have to be very watchful and also set the sting that will put an end to the stealer. Make sure you have the right equipment to catch him or her. Sometimes its your best friend who steals your boyfriend, a girlfriend or even Spouse or your child. Their practice is to get very close to you and you do not realize until its too late. Stay ahead of these stealers.

What is it that is being stolen from you? could it be it’s any of the above mentioned or your job or good reputation? Remember this, while they plan you stay on the alert too. Be vigilant, be aware, listen for the plans and watch for their devious words in the plan they are setting.

My Ground Hog did not speak, but I knew the rascal was around, so my plans worked very well and hence the joy restored and the proof was in the eating of the pudding (cantaloup).

With some things, you can pray, you can be listening for their evil schemes, and make sure your plan works. Be on the alert.
