ELECTIONS

General election coming soon. I think President Biden should rethink his plans for reelection. How healthy is he, how focussed is he and can he move around the country and fund raise or give speeches? Let us pray for wisdom for his decision as it will affect his leadership in this country and overseas leaders. I do know that many older persons are able to do their job even in older years. One of my favorite Bible character is Bro Caleb who told Joshua that at 85 yrs of age he was ready to fight and kill the giants and get his land for it was given to him years past by Moses. I dont know about our president can he fight the giants in our world -May he listen to wise advices from his wife and others.

Philadelpia have at least ten runners for governor or Mayor position. I have listened to their words of what they will do, but they are forgetting that they are not leading by themselves therefore lots of opposition will be faced- then what? Can the women lead with guts and brawn or will they be afraid of those who will challenge their proposals. I hope the best man or woman wins and they will continue to keep fighting for clean streets, crime and gun totting, and most of all take care of the schools and help children to be safe so they do not have to be afraid to learn or to play in their neighborhoods.

Philladelphia used to be a very lovey place to do things and see wonderful plays and concerts. Can it return without fear of being robbed or shot? Let us role up our sleeves and get to work before things get worse.

Churches and Pastors need to stay involve in the business of keeping Philly safe and clean and people can walk around with joy . Pastors, get off your seats and get to the street and show your teeth by talking and counsel young folk and many parents for the parents need help too. “It takes a village to raise a child ” we are our brother’s keeper so non is safe unless we do our part Amen?.

Deaths of Giants and Followers of Christ:

Since the past year to now, many of God’s good servants have been ushered home to their rewards. But may I ask each of us, this question. Now many have flown away, what about you to carry on? How are you working for the Lord, are you tired, stressed, discouraged or just plain pooped. “Be not weary in welldoing, for in due time you shall reap if you do not faint”. Galatian 6: 9.

Jesus had his own strategy after dealing with the crowds of the day- He sometimes went up to a mountain away from everyone to refresh himself and to talk with his father. He knew when to pull away for he was tired and hungry like us, and each day’s task was grueling. We need rest, we need to step back and assess ourselves and think through the work we did each day. Burn out is NOT of God, for Jesus our Lord showed us how to do ministry without ‘burn-outs’.

Today Friday, I had my hands full- two zoom meetings, one notary signing away from home, delivering of packages to two different homes. On my way home I realized that I had no lunch and I was thirsty and hungry. I came home and made tuna sandwiches and a glass of lemonade and a slice of Banana bread. What was my body saying? stop and eat, and spend a little time sorting mail and just chill and get perspective of the morning and all I was able to do.

I am just reminding myself and you dear friend, to stop thinking that we are super giants and when we get to heaven we can rest. hahahahaa! learn to rest now and you and I will last longer, our family will not be afraid of us because we become snappy, and of course our churches will be happy for us. God desires the worker’s time with Him, NOT the work so much. We must have balance as we serve our Lord. One day you and I will hear God’s word, ‘Well done’ so let us balance our time so that we can enjoy this precious work He has called us into with joy, not a heavy heart and resentment. “The joy of the Lord is our strength!”.

VIOLENCE IN OUR LAND:

The Bible states that ALL have sinned and fall short of God’s glory(Romans 3:23)

By this then, it denotes that man cannot help him or herself to do the right thing, all the time. Yes we will never be able to control things even when we try. God is the answer to help us when we call for His help. What do we need His help for?

  1. To keep us from pride and selfishness
  2. to keep us aligned to His precious word (the Bible) for the guidance we need each day.
  3. to help us to love each other. Not like Johnny Depp and his wife who are showing the world their drama and selfishness.
  4. Love does no evil or illwill to each other especially to your children and spouse.
  5. 1 Corinthians 13: 1-8 reminds us what love does NOT do to each other.
  6. Keep us from evil should be a daily prayer for God said, if you think evil in just a matter of time you will give way to action. So be careful what you are thinking.
    1. Any practicing of sin, will keep us miserable and people will shun us because of the way we are living or allowing ourselves to keep on doing or practicing sinful habits. Thats why Jesus came to help us , for He knows we are weak, and evil is in our hearts daily. Our hearts can deceive us but we are making excuses for doing evil practices. God says, “STOP IT!” His heart is saddened for the blood we shed on a daily basis. His heart is crying of lives lost and we are not ready to live in eternity with Him. Let us change our attitude and repent of our foolish ways and seek the Lord’s help to turn things around so we can enjoy Him and each other here on this good earth. Are you ready for a change? Begin with me Lord, then leaders in government on every level and to the churches , schools and where we do our business. He wants to bring change but it MUST begin now and with you and me.

CAPABLE WOMEN:

This week we have a woman who has been under scrutiny if she is a candidate for the highest court in the country. Is she worth our prayers, votes, or even to stay in our thoughts? What do you think. Men have been made to sit there for years, some not so worthy others we have question marks. So why not a woman who seems qualified regardless of her ethnicity, creed or gender. What we want to know is could she make a fantastic contribution to our courts, to our country, to those girls would come behind her, to truth and good politics and to me, standing up for the rights and truth for all. She is deserving just like others who have taken on this gigantic role of leadership in this land.

If or when she is nominated, I pray that she will be a credit to the land and her people, giving just and true agreement to each case without bias. Women wears many hats in each day and this hat will be just part of her daily story. Many women past and present are movers and shakers and deserve to be heard not only in the home, cooking, raising kids, taking care of husbands or families but to show to the world that they are qualified to serve anywhere with dignity. We have some like Vonette Bright, Mary McCleod Bethune, Joni Tada, Hillary Clinton, Mrs. Albright and others past and present. We should salute women and their contributions to communities around the country, giving their all to help young and old alike be respected, thrive, find themselves in whatever they do to be an asset NOT a liability to anyone. We are worth it and we certainly give our one hundred percent to anything we set our hearts to do to help make this country great.

THE SANCTITY OF LIFE

When God made his world and people in it, He said to our first parents: “Multiply and replenish the earth”. What did he mean? God loves people that is why he sent his only son to die for all the world (John 3: 16) This is still true for none can save us from our faulty lifestyle but Him! God loves children- “Suffer the little ones to come to me and forbid them not” Matthew 19:14-15. So then if they are precious to Him, what should our response be? Life to God is sacred, and those who desire to stamp this out is foolish and ignorant. The very sperm of the man is sacred to God for it is life so today, befoe you consider abortion, any kind of abuse or death to life, THINK before you decide for you’ll regret it later. Choose wisely, for one fine day the account will be served, what will your answe be?

WHAT WILL YOU CHANGE IN 2022?

With joy many of us will welcome the new year 2022- others will have regrets, or even frustrations. Never fear says the angels – God ‘s got you in his precious hands.

In Isaiah 4:13 Isaiah says, God’s might hand is ready to catch you when you are falling, to comforty you when your are tired and weary, and will love you and draw you close to himself. Faith is to believe what He has said and will do no matter the time, season or age- He is ever present to lift you out of the muddy waters of life beloved friend.

Turn the pages of dispear, depression, fear, hopelessness and doubts. God deals with trust- . Funny how we say to others “Trust me on this” and yet we know we do not have what it takes to deliver such a verdict even when our heart want to do it. NOT God, he is ready, able, and willing to prosper, lead, guide and give us courage to believe. Let the past push you in full trottle towards your step of faith in this Almighty, magnificent God, be your tempreture gauge in the change you hope for in 2022. The angel told Mary , “With God ALL things are possible”. I am reminding you too that it is a true saying from heaven and the God who is there.

ABCMinistries and staff, wishing you a very prosperous new year spiritually, emotionally and financially. If you need prayer send us an email and we will take your burdens to the Burdenbearer, Jesus. With Him there is no worry, no hesitation to help you. Blessings always and we leave you in His care and grace.

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS:

Once again we are making sure we have enough to celebrate this festive season, however, we have the ‘Haves, and the Have-nots’ so, when you are making plans to give remember the ‘HaveNots’. Christmas is a time for sharing and caring. Who will you add to your list this year? Be also careful of the giant covid virus and her followers- not to contaminate each other. Covid leave folk with breathing problems and other feelings of lethargy that was not seen before she hit you. In all these things, give thanks for it could be worse.

Let us remember to pray and send help to those in areas hard hit by storms, losses and real hurts. It is supposed to be a joyous time, yet we also face sadness and losses. May our Lord comfort YOU and may you also know that you will live to fight on, rebuilding your lives. Take comfort in Isaiah 26: 3-4. He gives peace, to those who trust in Him and keep their minds stayed on Him too. HAVE THE MERRIEST OF ALL CHRISTMAS, AND MAY YOUR FUTURE BE BRIGHT AND FRUITFUL.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL

Everyday should be a time to give thanks don’t you think so too? What do you have to give thanks for , you asked? Well first, God woke you up this morning and every morning, you can make eleminations, you can think, you can talk, see, hear, feel emotions you have friends, you have families, you have a job, or you get help from the government. Should I go on? You sir you madam, find even one thing to be thankful for each day. or at the end of your day, remember, things could be worse. Read Psalm 150 for some help in your thanks- I will pray you will have a change of heart, instead of being a sour-pus, be a praise pus hahahahaha. I give thanks for YOU>

WHEN THE BOTTON DROPS OUT

What do you do when the bottom is falling out? Do we get stressed, angry, shock or we collect ourselves and pray. God hears and he certainly answers, maybe not as you desire, but he will answer,

The pandemic has caused many to feel like the bottom is falling our or the roof caving in.Just remember, this too will pass. Jesus always whispers to those who are fearful, need help or just plain traumatized, “Peace to you”. Let Him be your peace today Jehovah Shalom He is never stressed, and since He knows the way and every nook you and I will face, the word from me to you is “Fear Not”.

Jehovah Ezer, is our Helper, according to Psalm 33: 20-21- read it and believe it.I personally know the truth of it so let Him take your hands and lead you , the Shepherd know the way- Have a good week.
